Happy Friday everyone. Sorry that this Friday Stylefinder post has been away a little while … Its been a little hectic round here! But, I’m back, and very happy about it I am too.
So, firstly – Check out the view over my mirror right now as I type …
BLUE SKIES!! Its a beautiful, spring like day, and I’m in the mood for light and airy neutrals.
Say hello to these gorgeously expensive-looking-but-actually-quite-cheap nude coloured slacks!
I luurrrrve them so.
Pockets? check.
Roomy concertinaed pleated waistband? check.
Paired with a trusty white blouse and neutral heels, I feel sharp, smart, and super comfy.
I know what you’re thinking … Pale fabric can often equal unflattering (to the highest order) arse hugging issues … but just grab them in a generous size, resist the urge to buy anything too snug, and anyone’s hips/thighs/bottoms can totally rock the light and pale tones.
Don’t be scared, it is easy to get lighter coloured trousers wrong but I think going up a size cures most problems. Sure, we women always like to shoehorn ourselves into the smallest size possible. We do, don’t we? But that just doesn’t workout sometimes (especially when sheer fabrics are concerned) So, treat yourself to some room and you will be surprised how much better an item of clothing can look.
I’ve gone up a size to combat any potential ghastly issues and they feel alright. I think because they are cut to sit high on your waist and naturally taper in, there is no worry that I could might just, walk them right off as I’m going about my business! Any smaller than this – whilst they might do-up – would be too huggy, too revealing and probably show off every single arse cheek dimple as I walk. Not cool.
And I also want to show you these. A beautiful pair of tailored white trousers, Also cheap as chips. Also, they don’t feel as though they should be … they are really good quality.
I am gutted that I didn’t grab a camel trench coat to wear with this combo for this photo – Imagine how lovely that would look! .. Well, I think so anyway!
I am really happy with both pairs of trousers and just KNOW they will serve me well through all of spring and summer. Both pairs are endlessly versatile too, I can see them being dressed up and down ’till the cows come home.
You can click the links below to buy/view them on a proper model (who probably doesn’t have ANY arse cheek dimples to think about!)
So, do you like these trousers? Do you ever go up a dress size to get a more flattering look? Let me know in the comments box below. Thank you for reading, see you next Friday? … I’m doing ‘Gym Favourites’ next week. Including…. wait for it … Rose Gold Shorts!!

Not convinced it would look the same on me but looks fab on you

I really like the nude trousers, especially with that blouse. I completely agree about sizing – always better to go up one and avoid bulging – much more flattering.

These are great, I love the style you have gone for. You look great too. I do think you look better in the white blouse and the pale trousers rather than all white, but that is just my opinion.
Thanks for Sharing.

These are really pretty. I’d never think of buying things like this, purely because I’d think they’d look unflattering, but they look really good. It’s definitely time to inject some spring into the wardrobe. x

Love the trousers – I am not sure I could rock them with a chocolate smeared tot in tow!! Lovely to see blue sky isn’t it? Kaz x
