Friday Stylefinder: Winter Coats

This week I was going to show you my new Winter coat on, together with my old faithful, back-of-the-cupboard coat, but sadly my new one didn’t arrive in time.

Damn it!

That’s ok though, because I have instead scoured the net for all of my favourite 2015 winter coats to share with you. Some are super pricey. Some are super reasonable.

I always think its nice to look across the board at all price ranges; that way you can decide what you like and take it from there. So even if your favourite coat just happens to be a beautifully designed beast of a bank-balance-enemy by Woolrich, you can still use it as inspiration. (God I love Woolrich coats!)

Plus, I do like to dream … So come, lets scroll through some coats shall we?

Do let me know in the comments box what you think. As always, I love to hear what you guys love and loath!

(please note: The All weather coats I’m showing below are more expensive than those in the smart wool category. Personally, I tend to invest a bit more in these types of coats as I do a lot of dog walking, plus these styles literally never date. You can continue to pull these bad boys out year after year)

Ohhhh I love that black one, I also like the second one, too! With a burst of pink in – so pretty! I dont mind spending a bit more on a coat as I get a lot of wear out of it and it’s well worth paying extra!
    Have a fab weekend. xx

Ooohhh, I like the Phase Eight and the Polo Ralph Lauren but I’m not so keen on the prices. I wonder if we’re in for another snowy one this year?

Love the red Hobbs coat. I do need to get a smarter coat this year, but want to ideally lose some weight first, then some of my existing coats might fit!

I love a good coat for Winter, I think it’s a staple and I always tend to stay classic with a colour that would go with everything. I suppose i play it safe. I should try and be a little more daring, I love the black one. It’s gorgeous.

I think in an ideal world we would each have one plain coat, and one that’s a bit more daring.

Love the Boden coat! I’ve only ever had wool coats but now with two little boys maybe I need to invest in an all weather one, thanks for the suggestions

I live in my all-weather coats … sadly! I wish I was smarter in my everyday ways but these days I do tend to reach for practical more than the glamorous. I guess that’s why I justify spending a bit more.

Oh I think the Boden check would be perfect for walks and casual outdoorsy activities, could definitely see myself wearing that and it looks super cosy. Totally love the Hobbs red coat too, so gorgeous and I love red for winter, always stands out from the more muted colours.

Me Too Cliona, I love bright red. Or bright anything in fact … One of my favourite coats is a bright yellow one from Boden last year.

I really like the second one, I love the colours, I have to say this my favourite time of year and I love that cosy style of Autumn winter

Me Too. I love getting cosy, but I do miss the sun and brightness during winter. I guess we are lucky to have such contrasting seasons throughout our year here in Blighty.

Yes, I love that one a lot too. I think you could get a lot of wear miles out of it, and you could dress it up or down which is perfect. When you are spending a lot it helps to choose something that’s nice and versatile.
