So here we are. New season. New wardrobe. New updates. Woo!
And this week I popped to Bluewater to grab a few new ‘Core’ items to get my winter wardrobe off to a good start.
So without further ado, Lets just take a peek at some of my new bits.
I decided that first up on my personal hit list just had to be a cheeky online purchase: a lovely thick Poncho from Boden
I don’t care at all that my husband whistles the theme tune to The good, the Bad and the Ugly every time that I walk into a room …
Nor do I mind that he continuously asks if I happen to have a spare cigarillo …
I find that a Poncho is super great for the car. Great for shopping: for when your inside a shopping centre and a coat feels too hot, but no coat feels too cold. Great for snuggling in on the Sofa. Great for taking with you when you are unsure of how cold you might be (i.e. unknown restaurants, friends houses etc.) The list is endless. This is a seriously useful garment, people!
Next up – The woolly jumper from UNIQLO (the best place to buy jumpers) I got it in red and cream.
I am such a sucker for a pop of red (Of course I’ve already noted its suitability for the festive season)
Again, its lovely, soft and snuggly and as always for Uniqlo, excellent value…
Okay. Lets talk footwear.
Continuing on with my Clint theme …. check out these brown suede beauties:
With a square toe and a nice chunky block heel, they are perfectly placed to be worn in all smart casual/day wear scenarios. I would definitely wear them with a skirt too. With or without tights. Ooh yes, these are super versatile … I can see them looking lovely with a boho style dress too. What d’you think?
And, they fit nice and close to your ankle, so can fit nicely in or out of skinny jeans. So that’s handy.
Next, a little surprise acquisition of mine: my new UGG boots that my husband kindly surprised me with. Thanking you kindly MrF!

Actually laughed out loud, on a train, at the fact that your husband whistles The Good, The Bad and The Ugly when you’re wearing your poncho. A woman gave me an odd look. Top work Mr F!
Wonder if they do ponchos for hombres like me in M&S?

That skirt is lovely. I have to admit that it something I would never pick up however now seeing it on you it looks lovely and i would 100% wear that. I like the dark boots with it best x

I love the brown suede boots – they look like a lovely fit. I used to wear a poncho like that to school every day when I was a kid, so haven’t been able to wear a poncho since, unfortunately!

I like that Top Shop skirt and tbh it’s not a place I think to shop anymore (sobs!) but perhaps I should. And what is it about husbands and their “funny” outfit comments? Mine does the same for some blue and white trousers I have, they’re not even checked and he always asks me if I’m going out cheffing for the day. :/
