Friday Stylefinder: Weekend Luxe With Mint Velvet

image

image

This weeks Friday Stylefinder post is all about dressing comfortably for the weekend with the help of Mint Velvet and Mother of Pearl. Teamed with a classic pair of Oasis Skinny Jeans to tie it all together.

I think that Mint Velvet reign supreme where chic, classic and casual bits and bobs are concerned. Plus I just love the service. They make you feel special and well looked after …

I do appreciate a well wrapped package, too. Its like Christmas.

I picked up two gorgeously, soft and funky jumpers. They are cut beautifully and hang on the body just perfectly. And the softness? Oh don’t get me started on the strokabilty of these babies … so very soft.

So I got two jumpers … First up. A starry little number.

God, I love a star or two. I’m am all over that stuff.

This grey one is made of the super soft wool I mentioned, with a cheeky muted golden star on the back. I tried very hard to capture that starry rear of mine on my iPhone. But to no avail …you can kind of get the gist, though.

look at the lovely colouring we’ve got going on here

So soft!

Next, a BEAUTIFUL pale icey blue (and SUPERSOFT) pretty tie backed design … Again, I tried to show you the back of it which is where the pretty bows reside.

No …

Bit better. but see below for a much better shot

Both of these jumpers look so nice with a pair of dark grey skinny jeans …

(see what I’m doing with my legs there ^ ? It makes them look thinner. All bloggers/instagrammers do it #insidesecrets)

Right. Lets talk shoes.

Now then, I first saw these on Goop a few months back. I immediately loved them and rushed to click through to purchase. But alas, they were priced at a whopping £250. So, I clicked away. All sad and bereft for the shoes that weren’t meant to be …

But then imagine my joy at finding them half price on The Outnet last week!

image

I know, I know. £125 is still a lot for plimmys. I know it is. But I thought I’d just check them out, get them delivered, and then if they weren’t all that? well, I could always send them back.

But they were all that.

So I’m keepin’ them!

image

They are by British designer Mother of Pearl, and honestly peeps, they frickin’ exude quality and style.

They are silky, hefty, sturdy and very comfortable.

lets just say, you can tell that they are a £250 shoe when you pop them on. I just want to wear them everyday!

They do lots of different styles, but for the best price see this link to The Outnet.

Below are some different/equally beautiful prints, but they are on sale for £175 so a little more then mine were.

I love the tied backed design. Little details like that make all the difference. I worked for a company that did some work with Mint Velvet and I’ve always found their stuff to be unique and delicate. Really enjoyed this post (PS your 16 year olds’ hat suits you)
