This weeks Friday Stylefinder post is all about dressing comfortably for the weekend with the help of Mint Velvet and Mother of Pearl. Teamed with a classic pair of Oasis Skinny Jeans to tie it all together. I think that Mint Velvet reign supreme where chic, classic and casual bits and bobs are concerned. Plus I just love the service. They make you feel special and well looked after … I do appreciate a well wrapped package, too. Its like Christmas. I picked up two gorgeously, soft and funky jumpers. They are cut beautifully and hang on the body just perfectly. And the softness?…

I love slobbing out at home in my favourite loungewear. It is definitely one of my all time favourite treats. I just think that there is nothing quite like coming home from a long day, lighting the fire, opening a bottle of wine, cooking some amazing food and browsing Netflix with your favourite sofa partner … Having some late-night chocolate on standby is essential too. But first. Before you can commence, you’ll be needing some quality comfies. Take a look at this super soft range of pretty jarmies and loungers to get you in the mood. (Men’s loungewear selection coming soon)

Step 1 First up, you want to create your perfectly drawn, long-lasting base. For this, you use a lipliner. Don’t rush this part. Begin by drawing on your outer lip line. Start with your ‘Cupids Bow’, then the centre of your bottom lip joining up on the outer edges. Working from the centre outwards enables you to create perfect symmetry. Step 2 Now fill-in using your liner. Step 3 Next, apply your lipstick on top of your liner base. Using a brush for this stage enables greater control. Step 4 Finally, Blot using tissue. Then apply one final layer of lipstick to ensure a truly long-lasting finish. Et…

This week I was going to show you my new Winter coat on, together with my old faithful, back-of-the-cupboard coat, but sadly my new one didn’t arrive in time. Damn it! That’s ok though, because I have instead scoured the net for all of my favourite 2015 winter coats to share with you. Some are super pricey. Some are super reasonable. I always think its nice to look across the board at all price ranges; that way you can decide what you like and take it from there. So even if your favourite coat just happens to be a beautifully designed beast of a bank-balance-enemy…

GUEST POST: By Bec  I feel very honored to be asked by my friend Anna to be a guest blogger for ZeitmyGeist. How did that come about? Well you know, a group of us girls were catching up, wine was involved, and as you do, we got onto boobs, breasts, bazookas…call them what you will. Anna expressed her delight at finding the Bralet (which is now on all of our shopping lists I might add), and it prompted me to divulge to the girls my recent escapades whilst out shopping. Stay with me, there is a link… and so, herein…

You know when you need to pull together a quick and easy smart outfit for an evening out? but then you realise that once you settled the children, tidied up for the babysitter etc. you are only left with about 90 seconds to grab something, chuck it on and go? Well fear not my friend, just grab your favourite and comfortable black pieces, or jeans and throw them together with a pop of bright colour – I think that a red shoe is ALWAYS beautiful, and always sophisticated. Owning a good pair of red shoes, together with a matching handbag can upscale even the drabbest of…

Ladies, lets talk boobs and bras for a moment, shall we? Permission to speak frankly? Okay. If there is one thing I hate, its a mismatched bra strap on show. Clearly I have grown to be a total fusspot on the underwear front, because once upon a time I couldn’t have cared less about a menial bra strap or two, out in the world for all to see. Maybe the reason I’ve grown to be Chief Inspector General of bra straps is because I spend a lot of time in France, and French women DO have higher standards when it comes to…

Hmm. False eyelashes – a tricky animal? Not necessarily. As I found out from my lovely friend and professional MAC make-up artist, Ashley, it needn’t be the fiddly task I once assumed it to be … Here are 3 quick and simple steps to ensuring a swift application of your lashes, with a professional looking finish. 1. Lash preparation : before you do anything, first colour in the white part found on the base of the false lashes … this white will only cause you jip and be a dead giveaway once they are applied otherwise. Just use your normal black…
